88 reasons to buy a Thermomix

A Thermomix TM7 sitting on the bench with ingredients ready to cook with

There are a million reasons to consider buying a Thermomix. It is a brilliant appliance, unlike any other on the market. Most people who buy one, wonder why on earth they didn’t get one sooner.

You can certainly live without a Thermomix, however, it’s a bit like a dishwasher. Once you have one, you don’t want to be without it. You don’t know how you coped before.

If you know, you know.

I don’t want to bore you with a million reasons. I’ll limit it to less than a hundred.

Let’s say 88.

Here are 88 reasons to buy a Thermomix:

1. Saves money

Owning a Thermomix helps to save money. Whether you are living solo, partnered or with children, having a Thermomix in your kitchen is good for your budget. It reduces the need to buy prepackaged snacks and the need to order takeaway. It makes meals out of nothing, turning ingredients into delicious recipes. You can even try the savings calculator here.

2. Saves time

Thermomix saves you time. It takes mundane jobs and does them for you. It’s amazing. You can choose how much you ask your Thermomix to do. If you have a certain way of doing things and find it easier to stick with that, that’s completely fine! It is an incredible time saver, meaning you can do more of what you love.

3. Saves sanity

Honestly, this is a big one for mums or at least the person who does the bulk of the cooking at your house. Owning a Thermomix helps keep you sane while you manage all of the things. I can be bathing my boys while the Thermomix cooks risotto for dinner. It’s been a game-changer for me.

4. Less waste

You can use up all the produce in your fridge, even the bits that have seen better days. Add it to spaghetti sauce or soup for extra nutrition. With Thermomix, you can make stock using old carrots and falafel using broccoli stems. It’s a brilliant way of reducing the waste in your household, which is good for the environment and your hip pocket.

5. Versatile

A Thermomix is one versatile appliance. It’s simply incredible what you can do with it. It has over 25 functions. It can weigh, chop, cook, blend, stir, whip, juice, grind, grate, crush, knead, heat, caramelise, braise, puree, mince, steam, mill, saute and sous-vide.

6. Minimalism

I love that having a Thermomix makes minimalism possible in your kitchen. It reduces the amount of gadgets you need to own.

7. Pregnancy

I’m not sure about you, but when I was pregnant, I was super sick most of the time. Between acute morning sickness (which wasn’t just morning) and exhaustion, cooking wasn’t on my radar. In fact, I couldn’t even walk into our kitchen without dry reaching. Just the smell of breadcrumbs was enough to make me sick. I couldn’t drink water. Simply awful. Had we had a Thermomix back then, it would have made our lives far more bearable. It would have taken a huge load off my husband’s shoulders. The beauty of hindsight.

8. Baby food

I wish we’d owned a Thermomix when we had a baby. Starting solids felt like a huge effort. Managing the needs of a baby whilst sleep deprived and then preparing baby food was a lot. I remember the long process of cutting up vegetables, peeling, steaming and then mashing. The Thermomix can do this all for you, reducing the time and effort it takes. If you are expecting a baby and this is the only reason, do it! It will be worth it for this alone. Honestly. (Handy tip: you can buy cute reuasable pouches for storing pureed baby food and homemade yoghurt and custard.)

9. Fussy toddlers

I miss the toddler stage. Mostly. I don’t miss the fussy eating. I found it hard to serve up healthy meals and snacks alongside everything else on my plate (pun intended…!). By the time our youngest was a toddler, we had bought a Thermomix. It came in handy. It helped to engage them with cooking. They loved being able to follow the step-by-step instructions alongside us and learned simple words like ‘next.’ I found that my youngest was more likely to eat meals that he had helped to make. He loved kneading dough for rolls instead of playdough some days. Owning a Thermomix has made my parenting experience far more enjoyable.

10. Helps those with disabilities

If you or someone in your family has a disability, this can make the everyday aspects of life more challenging. Learning to cook is an important skill to have. Having a Thermomix breaks down some of the barriers. Guided cooking simplifies reading instructions and focuses on one step at a time. There is no stirring over a hot stovetop or getting a dish out of a hot oven, reducing the risk of burns. There is only one bowl to wash (which can clean itself). It encourages independence and builds confidence.

11. No need for meal kits

Meal-kit services like Hello Fresh and Dinnerly have exploded in popularity in recent years. Companies know that we are time poor and figuring out meals after work is the last thing we feel like doing. We have tried these when special promotions have come up. I can’t deny that the meals are mouth-watering. The problem is, they can be complicated, takes longer than specified and are expensive. I was shocked with the packaging and how much was thrown out. Owning a Thermomix eliminates the need for meal kits as you can create the same delicious meals with a fraction of the effort and cost.

12. Lifesaver for parents

Whether you are a stay-at-home, working or a mixture of both parent, managing all the things is hard. I don’t think any parent has it easy. There are advantages and disadvantages to both. One similarity is mum guilt (do father’s feel this too?). If we are playing with our children, we feel guilty that we haven’t started on dinner yet. If we are cooking dinner, we feel guilty that we aren’t playing with our children. It can feel like we can’t win, no matter what we do. Choosing to purchase a product that will give some time back can be immensely helpful.

14. Side hustle

As life gets more expensive, more of us are looking to increase our income. One way to do this is side hustle. I encourage people to figure out what they love doing, are good at or can’t help talking about. You can move this hobby into a hustle, earning more money for your household. Becoming a Thermomix consultant is a way to earn commission through sales and recruiting other consultants.

15. Magic veggies

When you’re trying to get extra vegetables into your meals, your Thermomix can do this quickly. We like doing this with our boys and showing them how the veggies disappear. It’s like magic! I used to hide vegetables in food and loved that they wouldn’t realise. In recent times however, I have learnt that it’s better to develop trust in our children. Trying to sneak veggies in might be a win in the short term but long term, they might not want to try meals, fearing that there could be something yucky hidden inside. I often cook two versions of the same meal – one plain and one with vegetables. I put both on the table and let our boys choose which one they would prefer. This has especially helped one of our boys develop confidence to try new dishes.

16. Self-sustainable

When you own a Thermomix, you don’t need to shop as often. You can make snacks, meals and desserts with what you already have. You can work towards being more self-sustainable.

17. Know what’s in your food

Prepackaged food contains numerous dyes, additives and preservatives. These are well-documented to cause hyperactivity, inattention, difficulties regulating behaviour and poor sleep. When we cook our own food from scratch, we know exactly what ingredients go into it. We can reduce the salt and sugar. This is a win for health.

18. Helps with allergies

As someone who has coeliac disease, I know how expensive gluten-free food is. I pay more for a product that is smaller and tastes inferior. It’s not fair. With my Thermomix, I’m able to prepare gluten-free foods cheaper than I can buy at the grocery store. I mill rice to make rice flour. I make gluten-free stock, gravy and salad dressing. I have experimented with gluten-free rolls and bread but still need to work on my technique. I’ve written more about how Thermomix helps with allergies and food intolerances here.

19. Helps with meal planning

I don’t enjoy figuring out what to cook. With a Thermomix, you can source inspiration for meals to fit your family’s preferences, season of life and time of year. Better still, involve your partner and / or children with the process. It shouldn’t all be on you. Let every person pick a meal for the week. They can help to cook it (or cook it all), depending on age and ability. This gives them ownership and an appreciation for the effort that cooking can take.

20. Helps with meal prep

If you’re like me and avoid the kitchen at all costs, meal prepping can be your friend. Spent one afternoon every week and use your Thermomix to chop and grate veggies, cook lunch meat and create any stocks, sauces and dressings you need. Mill icing sugar, boil eggs and make yoghurt. Whatever you can do in advance makes cooking after work far easier.

21. Reduces the mental load

Managing a household is a big job. Our Thermomix reduces my mental load. It makes the cooking and food preparation part easier. It does things faster, cooks while I do other things and keeps food warm until I’m ready to serve. Cooking no longer feels like an impossible job. I thrive in other areas of life because my Thermomix does so much.

22. Less top-up shops

I have noticed that I do fewer top-up grocery shops now. We don’t run out of as much, and those that we do, we can make ourselves. We were gifted a couple of Vac-U-Seal containers, which keep lettuce and fruit fresh for longer. Avoiding the shops saves us money. We rarely stick to buying the one item we have run out of. I want to improve my baking skills to reduce buying bread loaves at the service station.

23. Portable cooking

You can take your Thermomix away on holidays with you! I have friends who go away in their caravan and use it to cook their favourite meals. It takes up some precious bench space but reduces everything else you have to bring. Just be sure to transport it safely – it’s precious cargo! A Thermomix could also be incredibly useful for those in temporary accommodation, such as a hotel room. Often, guests are limited to a microwave, kettle or airfryer. Having a Thermomix could be a lifesaver.

24. Software updates

Thermomix has software updates available from time to time. This keeps your machine working well and up-to-date with new technology. You will be alerted when a new update is available to download, and you can simply follow the steps on the screen.

25. Cooks while you sleep

We often make yoghurt overnight. We regularly make the natural and creamy vanilla varieties. We wake up in the morning to freshly made yoghurt and it’s a hit.

26. Layered cooking

You can cook sauce in the mixing bowl and sauce in the Varoma. You can cook a stirfry in the mixing bowl and rice in the steaming basket. This saves dishes and time.

27. Uses less energy

Cooking with a Thermomix uses less energy than an oven or stovetop. This is a smart way to save on power bills.

28. Hold a demo, get freebies

Looking to hold a demo? You are entitled to some freebies. This will depend on how many people attend and if they make a purchase. You can book in here.

29. All in one recipes

I love the all-in-one recipes. These are the ultimate in cooking laziness (the dream for me!). Being able to select a recipe, add ingredients when required and go off and do something else is the best.

30. Guided recipes on Cookidoo

With Cookidoo, you can follow recipes at the touch of a button. The LED screen presents each step, one at a time. It automatically resets the scales every time you press next. It’s easy and remarkably fun. Search Cookidoo to find thousands of recipes.

31. Input favourite recipes

I am yet to try this but many Thermomix lovers input their favourite recipes into Cookidoo. It is easy to use and helps bridge the gap between a family recipe book and the Thermomix.

32. Search recipes to use ingredients

Have some ingredients to use up and don’t want to go to the shops? You can type in these ingredients and use them as inspiration for a recipe.

33. Send recipes from your phone

You can browse recipes from your phone at work and add them to cook today. Once home, turn on the Thermomix, click on ‘This week’s recipes’ and it will be ready for you. I like to browse Cookidoo with my boys and let them choose things to make.

34. Bookmark favourite recipes

Once you find a good recipe, you can bookmark these. You can also create different folders and label these. This saves time for next time!

35. Food processor

The cutter isn’t included in the purchase of a Thermomix but you can buy it separately. We love ours. Previously I owned a food processor and blender and felt like it was complicated to put together and annoying to clean. It took up so much space. I like that the cutter fits neatly inside the Thermomix and doesn’t take up much space in the cupboard. We find it handy to grate cheese, carrot, potato and zucchini and thinly slice potatoes. It was absolutely worth the extra money. It retails at $219 but is currently available as a host reward.

36. Fancy veggies

I don’t yet have a spiraliser but I’m tempted! It makes vegetables fun. A spiraliser from the Mix Shop currently retails at $89. It’s on our list to buy.

37. Boiled egg mode

This might seem silly. Boiling eggs is easy. True. It’s not exactly rocket science. However, I like the boiled egg mode because the Thermomix can cook this in the background while I do other things (like yell at the kids to get ready). You can select how you like your eggs. I try to always have some hard-boiled eggs in the fridge for a healthy snack or addition to lunch.

38. Cleans itself

This is a popular feature. Once you have finished with a recipe, you simply put in some dishwashing liquid and water and turn on the pre-clean cycle. Select which type of clean you need and turn it on. It makes my life so much easier.

39. Experiment with different recipes

With Thermomix, it’s easy to be brave when trying new recipes. We can attempt things we otherwise wouldn’t think of or know how to make. It’s as simple as following step-by-step instructions on a screen. There are so many things I still want to try!

40. Makes yummy gifts

We make edible gifts for teachers and friends using the Thermomix. Chocolate caramel slice, coconut balls, honey biscuits and fudge have been winners. We wrap them in cellophane add a gift tag. They look great and add a personal touch.

41. Morning tea

I often need to bring food for morning tea or my husband has shared lunches. It can be tempting to pick something up on the way. This can add time to an already busy morning and increase the cost significantly. When we think ahead, we make yummy food to share in the thermomix and it doesn’t take long. Our favourites are chocolate chip cookies, brownies, caramelised popcorn, scones and carrot cake.

42. Cakes

I used to buy supermarket cakes and hack them to create birthday cakes. I didn’t have the energy to bake and decorate. My old mixer didn’t mix properly. It took the joy out of baking. That’s not a good sign. That’s until I bought a Thermomix. It makes incredible cakes with soft buttercream icing. They make gluten-free cakes look like normal ones.

43. Less tins

When I asked my mum what she likes most about her Thermomix, she replied that she doesn’t have to own as many tins in the pantry. She makes coconut cream from desiccated coconut (I didn’t even though that was a thing!). She makes hummus from dried chickpeas. She makes her own sweetened condensed milk. She commented that this helps her in multiple ways: saves money, reduces the amount of heavy shopping bags, increases the room in her pantry and she always has ingredients on hand to make what she needs to.

44. Less wastage

Following on from the last point, when you use a Thermomix regularly, it reduces the impact on the environment. Fewer tins are bought, saving energy on manufacturing, less petrol is spent transporting and recycling. I use less plastic and packaging in my pantry. I make my own icing sugar, brown sugar and rice flour. I make my own cleaning supplies and laundry powder. It’s a win for everybody.

45. Cuts onion (so you don’t have to)

No one enjoys chopping onions. Well, not many people. I don’t. When you use a Thermomix for this, there is less crying and messy mascara. Save crying for your sad movie. Dice extra and freeze it for next time.

46. Supports local people

When you buy a Thermomix, you are helping to support a local person. Many of the consultants are parents, home with little children or getting back into the workforce after an extended period. It helps them earn some extra money to support their families. Choosing a consultant doesn’t cost you any more but it can mean the world of difference to them. If you don’t have a consultant, I recommend finding someone close to you and / or someone who doesn’t have a large following. We all have to start somewhere and they will be extra grateful for the support.

47. Free delivery

Spend $2600 and it comes with free delivery. (So it should!) To their credit, the Thermomix arrives quickly and is securely packaged.

48. Warranty

A Thermomix purchase comes with a 24-month warranty. For commercial kitchens, a 12-month warranty is included.

49. Cook entire meals

You can cook an entire meal in the Thermomix, all in the same bowl. It’s amazing. My favourites are the butter chicken, Marry me chicken pasta, meatballs and risotto. Simply delicious, every time. I barely have to do anything. Feels like I’m cheating when I say I made it. Would recommend.

50. Mix Shop

The Mix Shop has a huge range of items for sale. These are quite pricey but are of high quality. I was gifted a pizza oven from here, and it’s been amazing. I have one Thermomix server (these keep food hot until you’re ready to serve) but would love another. I’ve heard that the food sensor is so handy (a thermometer to check that food is cooked properly). The Mix Shop have great deals during promotions. I think it’s worth signing up to their newsletter. You can browse their range here.

51. High resell value

When you buy a quality product, it generally sells well secondhand on Marketplace. This is useful for those upgrading their machine as they get some money back, and it helps some people afford one.

52. Recipe inspiration

Looking for inspiration? You can browse for recipes on Cookidoo, magazines and the website. You can browse social media, both on Thermomix Australia and individual consultant pages.

53. Good for reluctant cooks

Thermomix is good for the reluctant cook. The one who’d prefer to be doing anything but cooking. It’s for the time-poor, the lazy, the nervous and the beginner. It simplifies cooking so it is easy and makes you feel successful. You can produce food that looks and tastes delicious. Thermomix helps build confidence and can bring joy to cooking, again or for the first time.

54. Good for seasoned cooks

Thermomix is good for those who love being in the kitchen and are skilled. They may have learned from a family member or developed their own passion. A thermomix doesn’t take away from this but simply enhances it. It takes their cooking skills to the next level.

55. Businesses

Many businesses in the food industry use Thermomix. They are known for their versatility. I know of a cake business that owns three. The owner admitted she couldn’t manage without them. She used them constantly and saved so much time and money.

56. Teenagers

For teenagers looking to gain independence, a Thermomix can be a useful addition. You can build on their Home Ec skills by letting them plan a weekly meal, buy the ingredients and follow the Cookidoo recipe. I’ve heard that it can be helpful when your teen become ravenous in the late evening. They can whip up a storm and only create one dish (that then self-cleans). My eldest has already said he wants to buy a Thermomix before he leaves home so he can have it in his new place. He’s a planner (and I’m so proud!).

57. Maintain independence

Helping older people keep their independence and stay in their homes longer is important. Although it can take a bit of getting used to, a Thermomix can be a tool to help older people continue to cook for themselves. You can ensure they are eating healthy meals and doing so safely. For those who have trouble remembering, guided recipes are useful. I’ve heard that the aged care package can sometimes include a Thermomix too. Please check that you are eligible before purchasing.

58. Food therapy

During a food therapy session, I chatted to the speech pathologist about our Thermomix. I couldn’t help it. She was intrigued and wanted to know more. Having a Thermomix (or two) in food therapy would be a useful tool for clients of all ages and abilities. It makes cooking accessible for all, notably the step-by-step instructions. It could take your sessions to the next level and be an attractive difference to competitor businesses.

59. More time for what you love

One of the reasons that I love our Thermomix is that it means I spend less time in the kitchen. I have more time for gardening, playing with my children and exercising. For times that I am cooking, I feel less stressed. I can prep meals faster and create entire meals in short periods of time. I tend to batch cook rather than a little bit everyday. This frees up more time for doing what I love.

60. TM7 is quieter

A common complaint of the TM6 is that it’s too loud. I tend to agree. The new TM7 machine, about to be released, is meant to have a quieter motor. This is good news for those with napping children, shift workers or those sensitive to loud noises.

61. Less takeaway

Owning a Thermomix reduces the reliance on takeaway. It makes cooking a breeze and honestly does most of the work for you. We can make delicious fakeaways or keep it simple with boiled eggs on nights that we are too tired to cook. We still order food in sometimes, but this is not a regular thing. This alone has saved us a huge amount of money over the years.

62. Cooks in the background

Thermomix cooks in the background so you can focus on what is important. This is handy for parents, those working from home, multitaskers and those with conditions like arthritis. It means that you don’t have to stand up and stir constantly. I find this particularly when making recipes like white sauce and risotto. It’s like passive income but for cooking.

63. Inbuilt scales

This is probably my favourite feature. I love that with guided recipes, the scales reset with every step. It’s magic. It makes it so much easier than using separate scales as you cook. Geniuis invention.

64. Cooking classes & workshops

Thermomix offer workshops and cooking classes. You can enrol in classes like Master the basics, Thermomix Showcase, Varoma, Flavours of India, Eat well and Saving time and money. You can filter by location or type of class here.

65. Events

Enjoy going out? Thermomix hold various events where you can meet other people, learn more and be inspired. You can find an event near you.

66. Virtual masterclasses

Want to learn tips and tricks for using your Thermomix? Have a special interest or talent? Want to learn from the comfort of home? You can register for a virtual masterclass. This is something that I would like to do and, admittedly, haven’t booked into yet. Maybe this is the reminder I need. Find out more here.

67. Two bowls

When we finally decided to buy our Thermomix, we were lucky enough to have a promotion on. We bought a second bowl for just $29. I can honestly say that our Thermomix experience would have been far different if we only had one bowl. Having a second bowl means that we can cook two parts of a recipe (for example, sweetened condensed milk for chocolate caramel slice) without having to wash it in between.

It can keep food hot (for example, sauteed brussel sprouts) while you finish meatballs. It makes life so much easier. I understand why many consultants rave about having two Thermomixes – they can make 2 entirely different meals or desserts at once. (I admit, I’m tempted! Maybe I should become a consultant…!)

68. Blog

Wanting to read more articles about what Thermomix is about and what you can create? Thermomix Australia offers a comprehensive blog with numerous articles. You can browse them here.

69. Magazine

Like reading magazines? Thermomix Australia have their own quarterly magazine, Thermomix Everyday. It’s full of ideas, inspiration and mouth-watering recipes. You can purchase it here.

70. Savings calculator

Thermomix Australia understands that times are tough and saving money is crucial for many families. They have put together a savings calculator so you can see just how much you’ll save with a Thermomix on your bench. You can access the savings calculator here.

71. Food Personality

If you enjoy learning more about yourself and what makes you tick, you might enjoy this feature. Thermomix can help you discover your food personality (whatever that is!). You can find out more here.

72. Earn your Thermomix

Want to buy one but not sure if you can afford it? Many Thermomix consultants joined because they wanted to earn their own. They didn’t go into debt paying for one or wait while they saved up. If money is tight and you like the idea of earning some extra cash, this could be an option for you.

73. Healthy eating

With a Thermomix, you almost can’t help but eat better. With a ridiculous range of recipes on offer, this machine turns even the most basic of ingredients into a delicious meal. It’s a great way of getting more vegetables into young children whilst making yummy fruity desserts.

74. Convenience

I find that my life is so much easier with our Thermomix. I can’t help but tell everyone about it. It is the most useful item in my kitchen, alongside the oven and stove. Worth every dollar for this multi-use tool.

75. Compact

The Thermomix is fairly compact, especially when you consider all the different functions. Rather than owning multiple appliances, the Thermomix can do it all. I was initially put off by the idea that I would have to store it on my bench all the time. We don’t have much bench space. I love The Minimal Mom and she encourages mothers to keep only what is necessary on bench tops. I agree and our Thermomix is one of the few items allowed to live here. The TM7 is said to be even more compact that the TM6.

76. Hands-free function and modes

I love that our Thermomix enables me to do other things while it cooks. This morning, I cooked Butter Chicken whilst doing other bits and pieces around the house. I followed the recipe and added various ingredients, leaving it to mix, blend, and saute while I did other jobs. As an avid multitasker, this makes me so happy.

77. Use NDIS funding

Did you know that a NDIS plan can sometimes include the purchase of a new Thermomix? Please note this won’t be applicable to all plans. Do your own research before buying, in case it is not included. You never know; it might. How brilliant that would be! It’s worth looking into here.

78. 28-day meal plan

Hate deciding what to make for dinner every night? For many people, that is one of the worst parts of cooking. With Thermomix, you can access 28-day meal plans at the click of a button.

79. Adaptable settings

With Thermomix, you are in control! I love that they offer adaptable settings to suit your needs. This is helpful for a range of people and how they use their machine. You can adjust the settings to suit your household. We turn the brightness down so we don’t disturb sleep at night. We have reduced the amount of time it beeps when finished. It’s a simple switch, but it has made a difference. Find out more here.

80. Helpline

Not all companies offer a helpline anymore. Thermomix does. If you need to get in touch and would prefer to talk to someone, call 1800 004 838 from 9 am – 4 pm, Monday to Friday.

81. Troubleshooting support

Need support for any issues you might have? Thermomix provide brilliant troubleshooting support. It’s in their best interest. No point selling an expensive product only to have things break and not be repaired. They want you to have a working machine on your bench and will happily help you solve it. You can find out more here.

82. Book a service

Need to book a repair or service? Thermomix have a team of people to help with the booking and repair process. I haven’t had to use this yet but one of my friend’s has. She commented that they were really helpful, solved the issue quickly and had it back in her kitchen again (much to her relief). They often ask to use the original box and packaging to send the Thermomix back in (as it protects it well). She didn’t have it anymore (does anyone?) but was able to find a lovely consultant with a spare. To book in a service, click here.

83. Book a demo

Looking to see a Thermomix in action? It can be useful to have a demo or attend one at a friend’s. This is when you can truly see how it works, ask questions and sample the food. It is worth doing. You can do it in person or virtually. Find out more here.

84. Visit a showroom

In addition to booking a demo, you can visit a showroom to see the Thermomix in action. Please note that this isn’t available in all areas. Check here to see where the nearest showroom is.

85. Trade up your old machine

Have an older Thermomix and keen to upgrade? Thermomix offer trade-in deals from time to time. Right now, you can trade in your TM6 and receive bonus gifts and great deals. Opting to trade in helps keep older Thermomixes out of landfill, recycles parts and enables you to get some free stuff. Old machines eventually can’t be repaired so there might come a time when it makes more sense to upgrade. Click here to find out more.

86. Join the community

When you buy a Thermomix, you find community. I have been blown away by the wonderful consultants who have welcomed me into their space. They have answered my questions, inspired me and encouraged me on my journey. I am so grateful for many sharing my posts and for their kindness. If you would like to find a consultant, you can browse through the directory.

87. Use as much or little as you like

Know that there is no pressure to use your Thermomix constantly. When you choose to buy a Thermomix, you don’t have to get rid of all your appliances, cookware and recipes. You don’t have to change everything that you do. You can learn how it all works and gradually use your Thermomix more. You can consider it a tool that you use alongside other appliances and cookware.

You can continue to use your favourite recipes the way you have always cooked them and learn to make new ones in the Thermomix. No one is watching how often you use it. Some people use it a few days a week, others once a day, and others multiple times a day. Some people have two and use them side by side (and swear they couldn’t live without both)! If it makes your life easier, saves you money and enhances your life, I consider that a win. Please don’t feel pressure to only use the new machine. There are no rules.

88. Life-changing

My mum generously bought me a stick Dyson when I had a baby. It was life-changing compared to my heavy plug in vacuum. When we bought a dryer (after our third child was out of cloth nappies…), it meant no more condensation on the windows and mould on the curtains from drying clothes inside. For those cold, wet weeks where nothing could dry outside, having the option of a dryer was incredible. A Thermomix was never an essential item for us. We considered it a splurge purchase; one that would be cool but not necessary. Now I realise that although it’s not essential, it can be life-changing too.

Thinking about taking the plunge and buying one? I now have a referral link. I am still not affiliated with Thermomix and anyone can apply for a link (even you!). It simply means that I receive a $50 voucher for the Mix Shop in return for spreading the word.

This would be a lovely bonus for our family (but not expected by any means). You can still add the name of a consultant to support them without costing you any extra.
